50 an hour This job opening is for an Employment Direct Support Professional and this position will also be completing the Certified Direct Support Professional Apprenticeship Program.
Starting pay $17.
50 hr.
Completion of the program increases pay to $19.
25 hr.
Blue Sky has partnered with the Missouri Department of Mental Health-Division of Developmental Disabilities, and the US Department of Labor's Office of Apprenticeship to provide an apprenticeship employment opportunity for those interested in pursuing a rewarding career as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
This is a National Certification.
Program length for no prior DSP experience is 14 months minimum or longer depending upon skill acquisition progress.
Credit for prior DSP experience is available.
Blue Sky Community Services Employment Program is looking for responsible, caring, and compassionate people interested in joining us in serving adult individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or an equivalent, a valid drivers license and a good driving record, pass a drug test, and also pass a background check.
This position is to carry out supported employment supports by assisting individuals in obtaining skills needed to successfully sustain employment.
This position includes both instructional support and on the job support.
Hours vary and are dependent upon the indivuduals work schedules, which could include evenings and weekends.
Must also have dependable transportation as there will be some local travel.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid drivers license, pass a drug test, and pass a background check.
Responsibilities:
Implementation of programs/services as scheduled Documentation and progress notes Implementation of positive behavior supports Assist individuals in achieving their goals based upon their choices Attend in-services, complete employment trainings and all other trainings as needed Provide transportation for the individuals receiving services Be available to report to work at any scheduled Supported Employment job location Be available to report to work at any Blue Sky facility when needed Maintaining client confidentiality If you have had experience in any of the following areas we are interested:
Job Coaching, Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Home Health Aids (HHA), Personal Care Assistants (PCA), Habilitation Technician, Certified Nursing Aids (CNA), Caregivers, Teacher Assistants, and Paraprofessionals.
