This is a full-time position responsible for executing full-service catered events at our event spaces! Summary:
Rusted Route Farms has four beautifully unique event spaces located in Jackson, MO, and we are looking for a high energy, positive, and professional Event Coordinator/Venue Manager to join our team.
We host a wide range of events such as weddings, showers, non-profit events, Greek events with SEMO organizations, private parties, etc.
This role will ensure all guests are provided with prompt and friendly service according to our standards by working with team members to establish overall guest satisfaction.
This position will work closely with the management team to ensure successful events and five-star service to each client.
Key Sales
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the upper management team and Regional Manager, the Event Coordinator & Venue Manager will lead the touring, booking, planning, and day of execution of assigned events Responding to leads and touring with potential clients on a weekly basis Creating proposals for potential clients and upselling all Rusted Route Farm's enhancements to both new and booked clients Sourcing and securing new clients; wedding, social, corporate, etc.
Meeting monthly and yearly sales goals as assigned by the upper management team.
Key Event Management
Responsibilities:
Work with assigned clients from point of booking to post event follow up! Curate menus for each client based on Rusted Route Farms' custom menu options Host tastings and final details meetings with each client to plan timelines, layouts, and menus Assign staff duties such as:
set up & break down of tables, chairs, and Rusted Route Farms provided items Be responsible for all Front of the House staff ensuring all tasks are completed and all staff are staying on tasks Manage opening and closing duties, as needed Greet, interact with, and direct clients, vendors, and Rusted Route Farms staff Assist with the audio and visual needs of events, as needed Assist with other projects and event related tasks as needed Must be able to:
Be on time to all assigned in-office work days, offsite meetings, and assigned events Have a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as assigned Sustain high-energy and have the willingness to work long hours, sometimes multiple events per day/weekend Communicate with all clients, guests, and Rusted Route Farms staff in a way that fosters teamwork, integrity, and professionalism Work with professionalism and ethical conduct Have an outgoing, positive, and professional attitude acting as an ambassador of company values, mission, and image to the public at all times Be willing to take ownership of each event and the critical duties assigned Perform other duties, as assigned by the upper management team and/or Regional Manager Skills/Abilities:
Creative, flexible, and the ability to multi-task Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the Rusted Route Farms team members Motivated, efficient, and proven ability to work positively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Proven time management and organizational skills High-energy and the willingness to work long hours, sometimes multiple events per day/weekend
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in assisting with banquets of 300
guests, minimum 2 years of experience in customer relations and/or public service Knowledge of catering practices Knowledge of table service standards Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware Reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
